No two skins are the same so why are skin treatments?

Skin treatments should reflect this fact that no two skins are identical. The skin is constantly changing. Age, way of life, stress, hormones, environment, and season are all factors that can affect its manifestation, and it can also vary from one appointment to the next. However, a lot of treatments are still administered in a rigid fashion, with the same procedures performed daily regardless of the skin's condition. There should not be a one-size-fits-all approach to skin care at our clinic because we regard the skin as an organ that is always changing and evolving.
Every person's skin is different
In response to both internal and external factors, your skin is always changing. There are several factors that influence the way your skin works and reacts to treatments, including how much sleep you get, what you eat, your stress levels, the medications you take, the weather, and any prior treatments.
Because of this, a facial that worked well a few months ago might not be the greatest choice now. The danger of treatments being overly harsh or insufficiently supportive for the skin's present demands cannot be avoided without review.
The importance of a tailored strategy
Personalised skin treatments focus on doing exactly what your skin needs at any given moment, rather than trying to do more. Your therapist can evaluate your skin's state, barrier health, sensitivity, and treatment goals through a consultation-led approach before choosing methods and procedures.
To avoid overstimulating the skin, it may be necessary to modify exfoliation, hydration support, active ingredients, or treatment intensity.
We can achieve more consistent and long-lasting outcomes while preserving the skin's integrity if we work with the skin rather than against it.
Spanning the spectrum of skin "types"
While descriptions like "dry," "oily," or "sensitive" could be useful, they rarely provide a complete picture. Even while two customers seem to have the same skin type, they may actually be dealing with completely different issues, such inflammation, dehydration, or poor barrier function.
The health and appearance of the skin are secondary concerns. This enables therapies to be customised with thoughtfulness and purpose.
Introducing Comprehensive Skin Treatment in January 2026
In keeping with this principle, we are launching our Comprehensive Skin Treatment, a clinical facial tailored to your specific skin type and condition based on your consultation. A skilled skin analysis starts each 60 minute session. Based on the patient's skin condition and response, a personalised treatment plan may include a variety of clinically suitable modalities, such as exfoliation, hydration therapies, LED light therapy, skin needling, or manual procedures.
This treatment lets your therapist respond to your skin's current needs, whether they be soothing, corrective, or maintenance-oriented, rather than pre-selecting a predetermined facial.
How we operate
Because no two skin types are identical, your skincare routine should reflect that. Care for your skin with purpose, knowledge, and regard for its unique requirements by following a consultation-led, tailored strategy.
Each session of the Comprehensive Skin Treatment is individually developed to help your skin maintain its health. Thinking of a refreshed skin or achieving skin goals in 2026 then this is the treatment for you at Marlyse’s Beauty & Skin Studio.
